Case Study  ·  WorldSoccerShop × American Outlaws

We ran WorldSoccerShop's FIFA World Cup™ activation across 15 American Outlaws chapters.

They had the partnership and the product. We built the on-the-ground presence, chapter by chapter.

The challenge

The partnership was signed. Nobody had run it yet.

WorldSoccerShop is the official retail partner of American Outlaws, the US national-team supporters group, with roughly 30,000 members. The FIFA World Cup 2026™, hosted on home soil, was the biggest soccer moment the country had ever seen.

The hard part was turning that partnership into something fans could see and touch, at watch parties and tailgates in cities across the country, before the tournament kicked off.

That meant a separate conversation with every chapter, one consistent offer held across all of them, and product produced and shipped in time. WorldSoccerShop's team didn't have the bandwidth to run it chapter by chapter.

That's where we came in.

What we did

We were the layer between all three sides.

We ran the activation as the coordination and relationship layer between WorldSoccerShop, American Outlaws National, and 15 local chapters.

  1. 01

Built and approved the chapter kit

A standardized box signed off by American Outlaws National: banners, koozies, bottle openers, stickers, gift cards, plus a USA jersey and a FIFA World Cup™ bracket poster for every bar.

  2. 02

    Ran production and fulfillment

Specs, addresses, jersey numbers, and headcounts fed to the warehouse chapter by chapter, so each box shipped ahead of the first match.

  3. 03

    Held every chapter relationship

We gathered what each chapter needed, brought clean yes-or-no decisions back to WorldSoccerShop, and kept one policy consistent across all of them. No chapter got a side deal.

  4. 04

    Coordinated the extras

Additional tie-ins with local philanthropies in the FIFA World Cup™ host cities.

  5. 05

Fed the creative and the social layer

Banner and giveaway design with the production vendor, plus the match-day social carousel built with WorldSoccerShop's social lead and American Outlaws National.

The WorldSoccerShop chapter kit laid out: scarves, stickers, gift cards, Panini FIFA World Cup™ sticker packs, keychains, and a soccer-ball tap handle

How the footprint got picked

Every chapter in the country had the same shot at this.

200

American Outlaws chapters surveyed nationwide

20

chapters came back with a plan and a venue

15

responded to further outreach and got a kit, produced and shipped from WorldSoccerShop

The chapters that made the footprint weren't hand-picked. They were the ones ready to host, and the survey is what told us which ones those were.

The activation

30,000

Estimated reach

300,000

estimated impressions. Banners hung street-facing and inside the bars for 38 straight days, plus the chapter and national social features that ran alongside them.

7,500 – 15,000

of those were fans in the room, in front of the banner across the 5 US match windows.

15 chapter bars, 5 US match windows, 100 to 200 per watch party, a range set by the venue capacities inside the footprint. It leaves out every non-US match.

A directional estimate, not a counted figure. Banner placement varied by chapter and the social reach is unaudited.

“Matt was a great partner on a complex FIFA World Cup™ activation over a 6-month period for WorldSoccerShop. The project involved coordinating with the national office of the American Outlaws supporter group and 15 local chapter supporter bars across different markets. He did an excellent job building relationships with the individual groups around the country and turned their feedback into clear, actionable next steps.

We brought Matt on to tackle not just a bandwidth and scaling issue but to help give structure and prioritization to an unknown opportunity. We expected him to encounter a few hurdles throughout the campaign, but Matt took on those day-to-day challenges giving us a buffer to focus our internal resources elsewhere. What makes me want to work with Matt (and Position 10) again is how he stayed positive, collaborative and solution-oriented from start to finish.”

The outcome

Their team set the guardrails. We ran the field.

WorldSoccerShop showed up where its fans already gather, in the middle of the biggest soccer moment the country has hosted.

The brand had a physical presence at chapter watch parties in cities across the country, a run of night-before and charity activations that deepened the American Outlaws relationship, and a social layer that carried it online.

All of it ran off WorldSoccerShop's plate.

Work with Position 10

If you've got the partnership and the product but not the bandwidth to run it, let's talk.

We embed with a small number of businesses and lead the marketing function like it's our own.
